What Boulder organizations ask us about
- IT services and outsourced support. The searches that bring people to this page are mostly for an IT provider or IT services in Boulder. Many Boulder offices are small teams in older or shared buildings with no one on staff for IT. We shortlist managed IT providers that serve Boulder County and explain what each contract covers, from help desk hours to setting up new hires.
- Network services. Office networks, Wi-Fi and the line coming into the building. We weigh business internet and network options address by address, including what it takes to add a second site in Louisville, Lafayette or Longmont.
- Phones for teams that work from anywhere. Boulder has a lot of hybrid work. We set cloud phone systems next to each other so calls can follow people home. In most cases, you can keep your existing numbers.
- Security for research and client files. If your team holds sensitive data, we review cybersecurity providers with you and spell out what the provider handles and what stays with your staff.
Internet and fiber in Boulder
Boulder’s fiber story is still being written. The city owns a citywide fiber backbone, a 432-strand cable in city conduit that links city sites, but the backbone does not connect homes or businesses on its own. A private partner leased it in 2025 to build citywide service, then withdrew in July 2026. In September 2026 the city asked companies how they might use the backbone, and it is now reviewing their answers. For now, business internet in Boulder comes from private carriers.
Quantum Fiber, now part of AT&T, has fiber across most of the city. Xfinity cable from Comcast Business reaches nearly every address, Lumen sells dedicated fiber to offices that need guaranteed bandwidth, and Zayo, a fiber carrier headquartered in Boulder, runs routes through town for larger sites. Fixed wireless providers such as Ayva Networks serve buildings where a new fiber drop is hard. Our Boulder tip: install times vary from building to building, so ask about the timeline before you sign. If a new fiber line will take a while, a cable or wireless line can bridge the gap. We check every carrier at your address and tell you who can install on your schedule.
Who we work with in Boulder
Lamb Telecom started in Erie, in the north Denver metro, so Boulder County is familiar ground for us. In Boulder County and along the US 36 corridor toward Denver, our clients include churches, faith-based nonprofits, retailers and industrial businesses. Many share the same pattern: one building with good service, another stuck on an old contract, and nobody with time to shop around. We collect the bills and show what each site could have instead.

Boulder questions
Do you have an office in Boulder?
Not in Boulder. Our only office is in Greenwood Village, about 45 minutes away. We work by phone and video, visit in person when it helps, and serve organizations along the Front Range and clients in 42 states.
Is Lamb Telecom an IT provider?
No. We are an advisor. We compare the IT providers that serve Boulder, help you choose, and coordinate the start. The provider you choose does the setup, support, management and monitoring, and you get advice from someone who isn’t selling their own service.
Does Boulder have city fiber I can buy?
Not directly. The city owns a fiber backbone but does not sell internet service, and its planned citywide build lost its private partner in July 2026. The city is now exploring other uses. Until that changes, business fiber in Boulder comes from private carriers, and we check every carrier at your address.
Can you help with a second office outside Boulder?
Yes. Many Boulder organizations also have a site in Longmont, Louisville or Denver. We price carriers at each address, look at ways to join the sites into one network, and show the cost of separate contracts next to a combined plan.
